  • White sugar: 20 grams

  • Milk: Appropriate amount

  • Granulated sugar (for caramel layer): Appropriate amount

  1. Steam the pumpkin in a microwave or steamer until soft, peel it, and remove the flesh.

  2. Beat two eggs until smooth, add 20 grams of white sugar, pumpkin flesh, and appropriate amount of milk. Mix well. If you have a blender, blending it will be more convenient.

  3. Strain out the coarse residue and pour the mixture into oven-safe bowls.

  4. Prepare a baking dish with 50-degree warm water and place the bowls containing the pumpkin pudding mixture inside.

  5. Place the baking dish in a preheated oven at 160 degrees Celsius and bake for 40 minutes.

  6. Remove from the oven and let the pudding cool to room temperature before refrigerating.

  7. Sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar evenly on top of the pudding and caramelize it using a torch until the sugar melts and turns golden brown. If you don't have a torch, you can use a heated metal spoon to caramelize the sugar.
