300g chicken breast meat
3 cloves of garlic
A small piece of ginger
3 fresh shiitake mushrooms
50g water chestnuts (or water caltrops)
2 green onions
2 tablespoons of low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of chili oil (optional)
Appropriate amount of water
A small amount of salt (for seasoning)
Black pepper to taste

Prepare the lettuce: Wash the lettuce leaves and dry them with kitchen paper. Set aside.
Prepare the chicken: Wash the chicken breast meat, cut it into small pieces, and marinate with a small amount of salt and black pepper for 10 minutes.
Make the sauce: In a bowl, mix the low-sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and chili oil (if using). Stir well and set aside.
Prepare the vegetables: Chop the garlic and ginger into mince, slice the shiitake mushrooms, chop the water chestnuts, and cut the green onions into segments.
Cook the chicken: Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, then add the chicken pieces and stir-fry until they change color.
Add the vegetables: Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and chopped water chestnuts to the skillet. Continue to stir-fry for 2 minutes.
Season: Pour in the previously prepared sauce and stir-fry until the chicken and vegetables fully absorb the sauce. Finally, sprinkle with the chopped green onions.
Wrap in lettuce: Place the cooked chicken and vegetables on a lettuce leaf and roll it into a wrap.
