👉🏻Ingredients list⚠️
All-purpose flour: 350 grams
Active dry yeast: 5 grams
Baking powder: 1 gram
Salt: 5 grams
Sugar: 5 grams
Room temperature water: 215 grams
Non-hydrogenated vegetable butter: 50 grams (melted and cooled slightly before use; avoid pouring directly onto the yeast)
Olive oil: 30 grams
👉🏻✨DIRECTIONS:
Combine all the dough ingredients in a large bowl. Melt the butter beforehand, let it cool slightly, and then pour it in, taking care not to pour it directly onto the yeast. Mix until there are no dry flour streaks, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Stretch the dough around the edges twice and then let it rise until it doubles in size.
Sprinkle a little flour on the cutting board. Pour out the dough, gently fold the edges toward the center to form a smooth dough ball, and then flip it over so that the smooth side is up.
Divide the dough into 8 portions, each weighing approximately 85 grams. Gently shape each portion into a round ball. Let them rest for a while until they feel light when held in your hand. Roll each portion into a thin pancake.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and brush a layer of oil onto it. Once the skillet and oil are hot, place the pancake onto the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the surface. Flip it over and continue cooking until both sides are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side! (You don't need to cook them until they are dark; I just think they look better for photos this way!)
Cover the cooked pancakes with a tea towel or plastic wrap to keep them soft!

👉🏻✨TIPS
The use of yogurt makes the dough softer. Choose plain yogurt.
You can use a skillet or oven for baking. A thick cast-iron skillet will provide better flavor.
Store the cooked naan in an airtight bag in the freezer for up to 3 months. Reheat before serving.
