Tom Yum Soup is a traditional famous soup in Thailand. It has a tangy and fragrant taste with a unique flavor. The tangy taste comes from lemon juice and chili peppers, while the fragrant taste comes from spices and herbs such as lemongrass and coconut milk. This soup is not only delicious but also rich in various nutrients beneficial to human health.

👉🏻Ingredients list⚠️
Fresh shrimp: 500g
Lemon leaves: 5 pieces
Lemongrass: 2 stalks (cut into sections)
Chili peppers: as needed (adjust according to taste)
Straw mushrooms: 200g (sliced)
Tomatoes: 2 (diced)
Chicken broth: 1 liter
Fish sauce: 2 tablespoons
Lemon juice: as needed
Coconut milk: half a can
Coriander: as needed (chopped, for garnish)
👉🏻✨DIRECTIONS:
Pour chicken broth into a pot, add lemon leaves, lemongrass sections, and chili peppers. Boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes to release the tangy and fragrant flavors.
Add straw mushrooms and diced tomatoes, and continue to cook for 5 minutes.
Add fresh shrimp and cook until they turn red and curl up.
Season with fish sauce and lemon juice, then pour in coconut milk and stir well.
Boil, then turn off the heat and sprinkle with chopped coriander

👉🏻✨TIPS
Be sure to squeeze out the lemon juice from the green lemon. Slicing or peeling it and adding it to the soup will make it bitter.
No additional salt is needed during the entire process, as the fish sauce is already salty enough.
Coconut milk can be replaced with coconut powder, but it needs to be dissolved in boiling water first before adding to the soup.

Tom Yum Soup is not only delicious but also has multiple benefits. The lemon leaves and lemongrass are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which can enhance immunity. Chili peppers can promote blood circulation and metabolism, aiding in weight loss and beauty. Additionally, Tom Yum Soup provides a soothing sensation and can refresh the mind.
