Christmas Snowflake Bread is a holiday bread inspired by snowflakes, featuring a delicate appearance as light as snowflakes, adorned with powdered sugar and colored sprinkles. It combines softness with sweetness in every bite, adding a splash of color to the Christmas dining table.

👉🏻Ingredients list⚠️

  • 500g bread flour

  • 7g dry yeast

  • 50g granulated sugar

  • 5g salt

  • 2 large eggs (at room temperature)

  • 250ml milk (warmed)

  • 50g unsalted butter (softened)

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

  • Colored sprinkles (for decoration)

👉🏻✨DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine bread flour, dry yeast, granulated sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add eggs and warmed milk, stir to form a dough.

  2. Incorporate the softened butter and continue kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic, able to form a windowpane.

  3. Place the dough in a warm place to rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

  4. Deflate the risen dough, divide into small portions, shape each into a ball, flatten slightly, and cut out snowflake shapes using molds or knives.

  5. Arrange the snowflake-shaped dough on a baking sheet and let it rise again (about 30 minutes).

  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the bread in the middle rack of the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  7. Remove the bread from the oven, let it cool, then dust with powdered sugar and decorate with colored sprinkles.

👉🏻✨TIPS

  • Monitor the ambient temperature during fermentation to avoid excessive or insufficient rise.

  • Handle gently when cutting out snowflake shapes to maintain dough structure.

  • Add powdered sugar and colored sprinkles after the bread has cooled completely to prevent melting.

👉🏻✨BENEFITS

  • Christmas Snowflake Bread not only enhances the festive atmosphere as a holiday treat but also serves as a delightful breakfast or afternoon tea option, bringing warmth and joy to family and friends.

👉🏻✨NUTRITIONAL

  • Rich in carbohydrates and proteins, it provides energy while supporting bodily functions. The addition of butter and eggs increases the fat and protein content, enhancing the flavor. While powdered sugar and colored sprinkles add decoration, their moderate use in small portions does not compromise health when enjoyed occasionally.
