  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine

  • A pinch of salt and sugar

  • Cornstarch, as needed

  • Vegetable oil, as needed

  1. Marinate the beef slices with soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cooking wine, black pepper, a pinch of salt and sugar, and cornstarch for 15 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the marinated beef slices and stir-fry quickly until they change color. Remove and set aside.

  3. Leave the remaining oil in the pan, add the sliced shiitake mushrooms, and stir-fry over medium heat until they soften slightly. Add the sliced bell peppers and continue stir-frying.

  4. Return the cooked beef slices to the pan, add black pepper to taste, and stir-fry evenly until well combined. Serve hot.
