  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Green cardamom pods 12

  • Yellow onion 1

  • Garlic 8 cloves

  • Ginger 5cm long

  • Tamarind juice 2 tablespoons

  • Salt 1.5 teaspoons

  • Sugar 0.5 teaspoon

  • Chili powder 2 tablespoons

  • Turmeric 0.5 teaspoon

  • White vinegar 5 tablespoons

  • Vegetable oil 2 tablespoons

  • Ripe tomatoes 3

  • Fresh chilies 2-3

  • Water 100ml

👉🏻✨DIRECTIONS:

  1. Grind the dry spices (cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, cumin seeds, green cardamom pods) into a powder and mix with wet spices (onion, garlic, ginger, tamarind juice, salt, sugar, chili powder, turmeric, white vinegar) to form a marinade.

  2. Cut the beef into 5cm chunks, mix with the marinade, and refrigerate for overnight or at least a few hours.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, add the onion, and sauté until soft and yellow. Add the beef and marinade, stir-fry for five minutes.

  4. Add the ripe tomatoes and fresh chilies, stir-fry briefly, then pour in the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for two hours.

👉🏻✨TIPS

  • The longer the marinating time, the more flavorful the beef.

  • Keep the heat low during simmering to make the beef tender and fall-apart.
